Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) has been in operation for more than twenty years. This institution has turned into a Public Limited institution from July 2009.
The primary objective of Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) is to provide quality medical education within a modern academic environment to produce qualified medical professionals who can contribute to society by means of their knowledge, attitude, skills and professionalism. KMC follows a student-centered curriculum that is community as well as problem and need based. KMC also aims to develop to set new standards in Medical education and high quality medical and nursing care.
KMC stresses upon quality medical education in an affordable price with the objectives of producing extremely competent and socially accountable Nurses.
Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) started the B.Sc. Nursing program from February 2006, M.Sc. Nursing from May 2019 and BNS from August 2019. KMC is affiliated to Kathmandu University and is recognized by Nepal Nursing Council. The program admits students as per the permission by Kathmandu University (KU) and approval by Nepal Nursing Council (NNC) every year in the month of August. The B.Sc. Nursing program has been running in the Fourteenth year and has already produced ten batches of 222 graduates. The students have passed with hundred percent results in KU final examination and received the degree from Kathmandu University.
